About

I am a PhD student in economics at VU Amsterdam and the Tinbergen Institute. I consider myself an applied economist and work in industrial organization, the economics of innovation, applied microeconomics, and applied econometrics, combining applied theory and applied econometrics. My supervisors are Sabien Dobbelaere and Jose Luis Moraga-Gonzalez. In May-June 2026 I visited CUNEF Universidad Madrid at the invitation of Costanza Cincotta. In the first half of 2023 I visited Penn State’s economics department at the invitation of Mark J. Roberts.

I am currently interested in how and why firms allocate their research: the mode of that research, why firms enter certain areas, and how changes in market structure affect the scale and composition of their research.

In my spare time I play tennis. Email me if you want to play!

News: I will be joining Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) as a postdoctoral researcher in October 2026.
